According to Evan Sidery of Forbes, the Memphis Grizzlies are interested in trading for Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant.

The Grizzlies traded Desmond Bane  to the Orlando Magic for  Kentavious Caldwell-PopeCole Anthony, four unprotected first-round picks and one first-round pick swap on Father’s Day.

The Oklahoma City Thunder swept the Grizzlies in the first round of this year’s playoffs. Ja Morant missed Game 4 of the series after getting hurt in Game 3.

Memphis has won just one playoff series since drafting Morant with the second overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.

Durant wants the Suns to trade him to the San Antonio Spurs, Houston Rockets or Miami Heat.

However, the Suns can trade Durant anywhere since the NBA legend doesn’t have a no-trade clause in his contract.

Durant played in 62 games for the Suns this season. He averaged 26.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.2 blocks while shooting 52.7% from the field, 43.0% from beyond the arc and 83.9% from the free-throw line.

A top 75 player of all time, Durant has one year left on his contract. He has played for the Thunder, Golden State Warriors, Brooklyn Nets and Suns.

Durant has career averages of 27.2 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.1 blocks in 1,123 NBA games. He won the 2014 MVP Award with OKC and back-to-back titles and Finals MVPs with Golden State in 2017 and 2018.

A four-time scoring champion, Durant tore his right Achilles tendon in Game 5 of the 2019 NBA Finals between the Warriors and Toronto Raptors. He signed with the Nets in the summer of 2019 and missed the entire 2019-20 season.

Phoenix acquired Durant from Brooklyn in 2023. The Suns have won only one postseason series with Durant.
