According to Jake Fischer of The Stein Line, the Atlanta Hawks want to re-sign Caris LeVert.
LeVert becomes an unrestricted free agent this offseason. The Hawks acquired the forward from the Cleveland Cavaliers in the De’Andre Hunter trade.
“Let’s close with a Hawks-related whisper on free agency that seems more definitive: Sources say Atlanta has shown a keen interest in retaining free agent guard Caris LeVert after bringing the veteran scorer to the Hawks as part of the return for trading De’Andre Hunter,” Fischer wrote.
The Hawks missed the playoffs this year. LeVert appeared in 26 games with Atlanta. He averaged 14.9 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.9 assists while shooting 48.2% from the field, 33.8% from beyond the arc and 72.2% from the free-throw line.
The 30-year-old LeVert has played for the Brooklyn Nets, Indiana Pacers, Cavaliers and Hawks. He has career averages of 13.9 points, 3.8 rebounds and 4.0 assists.
LeVert made $16,615,384 this season.
