Report Reveals Whether Bradley Beal Will Waive No-Trade Clause For Phoenix Suns, He's Leaning One Way

The Phoenix Suns are in a dangerous position as a club. They are 18-19, and, despite two straight wins, have glaring issues as a team.

While there are potential frameworks for a center upgrade via a trade with the Charlotte Hornets to acquire Nick Richards and get rid of Jusuf Nurkic, there are still roster issues that need to be fixed.

There has been talk and chatter of the organization looking to trade Bradley Beal, who Mat Ishiba was keen to acquire to pair alongside Devin Booker and Kevin Durant.

Bringing in a high-dollar star simply didn't make sense to put the Suns into the second apron, which is quite limiting under the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

The team is now quite limited in what teams they can even move Beal to, which poses even more of a challenge. There is one massive hurdle that goes beyond the Collective Bargaining Agreement, salary cap or anything else. Beal has a no-trade clause.

The only way Phoenix can trade the star guard is if he approves of the team. He's got to waive the clause, which means he'd be in favor of the team he's landing with.

However, ESPN analyst and insider Brian Windhorst recently gave the verdict as to whether the guard will waive his no-trade clause.

"Sounds like no," Windhorst said "Get Up."

"His agent Mark Bartelstein told me there's been no discussions, either with the Suns or any other team, about Bradley Beal waiving his no-trade clause. The reason that's become an issue over the last couple of days - the Heat said they were going to trade Jimmy Butler. The Suns are known to be interested [and] the only way to get him is to move Bradley Beal, which would take Beal's cooperation. Right now, that is not even a consideration for even Mark Bartelstein. He's just focused on helping this Suns team turn things around."

This is consistent with how Beal has handled the press and the recent bench demotion from head coach Mike Budenholzer. He's keen on helping the team put together the best possible product.
