Report: Stephen Curry to play Thursday vs. Raptors

The long-awaited return of two-time NBA MVP Stephen Curry to the hardwood is now about 24 hours away.

According to Anthony Slater of the Athletic, Curry has been fully cleared and will return to action Thursday against the defending champion Toronto Raptors.

Curry has missed the past 58 games after suffering a broken hand back on October 30. He’s had to go through multiple surgeries and has seen his return pushed back a few times.

This comes with Golden State in the midst of an injury-plagued and disastrous 2019-20 campaign. Fellow All-Star Klay Thompson has missed the entire season after tearing his ACL during last year’s NBA Finals.

Golden State currently boasts a league-worst 14-48 record. At the very least, Steve Kerr and Co. will be able to see Curry and the recently acquired Andrew Wiggins on the court together for the final quarter of the season.
