Rich Paul breaks down LeBron James’ free agency destinations

Rich Paul has gotten to work on figuring out where his top client, LeBron James, could be landing this offseason.

James recently informed the Los Angeles Lakers he would not be returning and hinted that he could sign for the mid-level or as low as the veteran minimum for the right situation.

Figuring out said situation is no small task. In fact, when a player like James hits the market, 29 other teams starting sending messages Paul’s way.

However on Friday, during Paul’s latest podcast “Game Over” with Max Kellerman, he provided a bit of an inside glimpse to at least the line of thinking early on in their process.

On the podcast, Paul revealed a white board with what appeared to be a list of pros from some of the potential fits for James. Included on the inner section of the board, are teams such as the Cleveland Cavaliers, Philadelphia 76ers, Miami Heat, Minnesota Timberwolves and Denver Nuggets.

On the outside of those teams are franchises such as the Golden State Warriors, Boston Celtics, Dallas Mavericks, New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs.

Paul would then go through each team detailing the pros and cons of each franchise.

He did note that the 76ers acquisition of Jaylen Brown “changed everything” and are now on the radar of James as he works through a decision.

After James originally announced his departure from Los Angeles, he was immediately linked to joining the Warriors and Stephen Curry. But judging by the collection of teams from Paul, it won’t be such a cut and dry decision from the four-time NBA champion to finish out his career.
