Russell Westbrook might be out of basketball action at the moment. But he surely is not out of the spotlight. While the Sacramento Kings’ star’s trash talk on the court went viral, his singing, too, recently grabbed the entire limelight. So much so that Westbrook’s security guard, too, gave an interesting reaction.

In a recently posted video, Westbrook was seen singing to Whitney Houston. While he seemed to be thoroughly enjoying the moment, things soon turned funny. As Westbrook sang and grooved to the rhythm, his security guard seemed to find it utterly funny.

As a result, during the video, Westbrook’s security guard was smiling all along. And despite trying hard not to break into a loud laugh, the guard almost failed in his mission. However, it seemed the 37-year-old NBA star was aware of the situation and took the reaction in a sporting spirit.

Now, the 2017 NBA MVP was supposed to take a lot of responsibility when De’Andre Hunter’s season ended due to injury. But while Russell Westbrook tried to do his best, injuries kept pulling him back into the loop. Thankfully, the Sacramento Kings front office appears confident in his long-term potential.

Will Russell Westbrook Stay With The Sacramento Kings?

The 9-time NBA All-Star left the Detroit Pistons after just one season. With speculation running wild, the Sacramento Kings signed the two-time NBA scoring champion. Unfortunately, despite impressing initially, there were still question marks remaining with Westbrook. But according to the Kings’ front office, the 37-year-old is here to stay.

Brett Siegel reported back in February, “With the Kings, Westbrook has… been a leading voice both on and off the court for the young players on this roster. Westbrook has the respect of his teammates and the Kings’ coaching staff, so why would he want to think about leaving?… For the first time in a long time, Westbrook is actually with a team that values his production and skills… Assuming Westbrook stays with the Kings entering March. It would not be shocking to see him sign another contract with the Kings in the summer.”

Thus, with the situation looking mixed, Kings’ fans will wait to see what comes next.
