The Sacramento Kings’ newest point guard has big aspirations for his team in the upcoming EuroBasket tournament.
Some of the biggest stars like Luka Doncic , Nikola Jokic and Giannis Antetokounmpo are set to feature in the competition.
It will also include World Cup champions Germany, who will be in the same group as teams like Lithuania and Finland.
They will be led by Dennis Schroder, who has laid down his expectations for the tournament.
Schroder is coming off a stellar NBA season with the Detroit Pistons, where he played a pivotal part in helping them back to the playoffs.
He then signed with the Sacramento Kings on a three-year, $45 million deal and is expected to lead their backcourt.
The 31-year-old will be representing Germany in the EuroBasket tournament and wants to win it all after they finished third in 2022.

Speaking about what he thinks about the team’s chances, Schroder said: “We’re going to win the title. If I weren’t convinced of that, I wouldn’t play the tournament and would rather spend my time in Braunschweig.”
The German’s hopes of winning the competition seem fair, as he is leading a talented group of players.
However, Serbia could be one team that will pose a big challenge for them, as they proved with a 91-81 win in the DBB SuperCup final over Schroder’s Germany.
Nikola Jokic’s team handed Germany their first defeat in preparatory games, and they themselves go into EuroBasket undefeated.
Since winning the tournament in 2001, Serbia have secured two runners-up results. But Jokic will be hoping to lead them to a win and add to his international glory.
The Germans proved that they can win on an international level when they beat Serbia in the Finals of the 2023 FIBA World Cup.
Schroder was the MVP of the tournament, but Germany also had the likes of Franz Wagner, Moritz Wagner and Daniel Theis, who helped them significantly.
Their team has not changed much since the win, and they will be hoping the continuity allows them to be successful in EuroBasket.
Who can stop them?

Serbia will definitely be one of the challengers, but teams like Slovenia and France will also be difficult to beat as they have a lot of NBA players on their roster.
Schroder will be key, but the Orlando Magic star, Wagner, will also have to deliver special performances if Germany are to be successful in the upcoming tournament.
The current power rankings have them second behind Serbia, but the 2023 World Cup winners will be looking to change that as soon as the EuroBasket resumes.
