Scottie Barnes comments on being the one to end LeBron James’ legendary 10-point streak

LeBron James’ 10-point streak ended against the Toronto Raptors on Thursday night.

LeBron James’ 10-point streak finally ended after 1,297 straight games and nearly 19 years.

Toronto Raptors star Scottie Barnes held James in check, holding him to just 8 points on 4-for-17 shooting from the field.

Late in the fourth quarter, James tried to secure his 9th and 10th points with a fadeaway, but Barnes blocked his shot.

Scottie Barnes is the one to end LeBron James’ streak

Barnes has been having a tremendous season, showing that he is one of the best two-way talents in the league.

Barnes has been especially good on defense, coming off winning Defensive Player of the Month. Barnes was effective in slowing James down and did not give him any easy looks.

Barnes finished the game against the Los Angeles Lakers with 23 points, 11 rebounds, 9 assists and 3 blocks. One of those blocks denied James from extending his historic 10-point streak.

Barnes was asked by reporters about his final block, which ended James’ streak.

“I don’t even know, I’m just trying to make big plays… he’s been so dominant in the game for so long, you wouldn’t even be surprised (at the streak).

“You know, it’s LeBron.”

Barnes over his last five games is averaging 24.6 points, 9.0 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 1.8 blocks and 1.0 steals per game.

Only two players in the NBA are averaging at least 20 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists along with 1 steal and 1 block per game. Alperen Sengun and Barnes.

Barnes should be in the Defensive Player of the Year conversation after stopping LeBron’s 10-point streak.

Also, Barnes’ overall numbers should have him make the second All-Star game of his career.
