Seth Curry Update Emerges After Joining Stephen Curry, Warriors

The Golden State Warriors have reunited Stephen Curry and his brother Seth Curry, with the Dubs signing the 35-year-old guard to a one-year deal.

Curry's signing was revealed by Shams Charania of ESPN on Tuesday, following Golden State's deal to bring back Jonathan Kuminga on a two-year, $48.5 million contract.

On Wednesday, the Warriors confirmed the move by posting a welcome message for the younger Curry on social media.

"One of the elite shooters in the game," the Warriors wrote, along with an edited photo of the veteran sharpshooter in Warriors jersey. "#DubNation, say hello to Seth Curry!"

Curry played for the Charlotte Hornets in the 2024-25 season, during which he averaged 6.5 points on 45.6% shooting from deep — the best 3-point shooting mark in the league.

What stood out from the Warriors' post, however, was Seth Curry's jersey number. From the looks of it, he has chosen to wear No. 31 with the Dubs.

Curry wore No. 30 with the Hornets last season, but since that number was already taken by his brother, he had to choose a different one. For what it's worth, he has worn the No. 31 jersey during his stints with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Portland Trail Blazers and Philadelphia 76ers.

If Curry makes it to the final roster of the Warriors for the 2025-26 season, he and his two-time MVP brother will be the "23rd different brother combination" to play on the same team in the same season, per the NBA. They are also currently one of only three pairs of siblings to be on the same team ahead of the preseason.
