Seth Curry joined the Golden State Warriors in November, but he has only played in two games so far this 2025-26 season.
Curry, who averaged 7.0 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists in the games he played, has not appeared for 32 straight contests now. In particular, he has missed the Warriors' last 24 games due to a sciatic nerve-related injury.
Unfortunately, he needs more time to get back to full health and game shape.
On Wednesday, the Warriors revealed their injury report on Curry's condition, which emphasized two key updates.
Curry has progressed well in his recovery, so much so that he's now ready to take the next steps: intensifying his on-court workouts and participating in live play.
The Dubs, however, also indicated that Curry will still be out for the next two weeks before being re-evaluated.
"Warriors guard Seth Curry, who has missed the last 24 games due to a Sciatic nerve-related injury, was recently re-evaluated," the Warriors wrote. "The re-evaluation indicated that Curry continues to make good progress. He will begin to intensify his on-court workouts this week, including live play and will be re-evaluated again in two weeks."
It remains to be seen how much longer Curry will need to be sidelined, but he's clearly trending in the right direction.
That being said, there's still hope that the Curry brothers will be able to be on the court together, on the same team, for the first time in their careers.
During the games Seth Curry played for the Warriors on Dec. 2 and Dec. 4, his brother Steph Curry was sidelined due to a quad issue. When the older Curry returned on Dec. 12, his sibling was already out.
For what it's worth, Steph Curry is also currently sidelined for the Warriors due to runner's knee. Like Seth Curry, the Warriors have ruled him out for Thursday's game against the Boston Celtics.
The two-time NBA MVP has not played since Jan. 30 against the Detroit Pistons. He also missed the 2026 NBA All-Star Game as a result of his health condition.
"He knew it wasn't the right thing to go back into a full practice," head coach Steve Kerr said on Wednesday, revealing that the superstar guard didn't practice because he "wasn't quite feeling right," per Sam Gordon of the San Francisco Chronicle.
"It is a little nebulous but that's the nature of the injury … It's a little tricky and we're going to keep plugging away with it and Steph will take the right steps. Our training staff will continue to work with him and we’ll see where it goes."
