Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and his Oklahoma City Thunder teammates have likely been partying nonstop since they won the NBA title on Sunday night, and the NBA Finals MVP had a tough time hiding that during one television interview.
Gilgeous-Alexander made an appearance on “Good Morning America” on Monday morning. It would be an understatement to say he looked a bit fatigued.
Even host Robin Roberts noticed the Gilgeous-Alexander looked out of it. She asked if he had gotten any sleep since the night before, when the Thunder beat the Pacers in Game 7.
“I got some rest, not as much as I’d like,” Gilgeous-Alexander said. “But, hey, you only live once.”

You never know what you’re going to get when you ask an athlete to do an interview the morning after a championship-clinching victory. Some Thunder players are so young and inexperienced with championships that a veteran teammate had to show them how to pop champagne, but we doubt they needed help celebrating all night.
While SGA did not look quite as cooked as Stetson Bennett did in the former Georgia quarterback’s “GMA” interview, the reigning NBA MVP clearly could have used some more shuteye.
