When it comes to professional sports, passionate fans are everywhere. But after the New York Knicks fell to the San Antonio Spurs in Game 3 on Monday, their fans crossed every line imaginable.
Numerous videos went viral online showing fans at NYC watch parties destroying property, crowding the streets and breaking out into full-on brawls.
One of the more troubling incidents of the night took place when a herd of Knicks fans spotted a Spurs fan walking down the street with a Victor Wembanyama jersey on after the game.
Almost immediately, they approached and physically attacked the lone fan. He held his own in the first few moments, but he was heavily outnumbered.
The Knicks fans proceeded to violently beat the man and the end of the clip appears to show them burning his jersey.

It’s unclear who any of the people in the video are or what occurred off-camera, as there’s no public no information on the incident.
What is clear, however, is that a number of fans on Monday night decided to terrorize innocent people because their favorite team lost a basketball game.
