Shaquille O'Neal Challenges Magic Johnson To Play 1 On 1 In Barcelona

Barcelona just became the stage for the most unexpected basketball callout of the summer. NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal, never one to shy away from a little drama and a whole lot of fun, issued a hilarious and heartfelt challenge to fellow Hall of Famer Magic Johnson after spotting the Lakers great shooting hoops aboard his luxurious $140 million yacht.

“I’m in Barcelona. I’m looking for Magic Johnson. Hey, Magic… I saw you playing basketball on your yacht. I’ve been wanting to do it for a long time, Magic, one-on-one. Your yacht versus my plane. Matter of fact, I’m about to come look for you. It’s on, Magic.”

What followed was a mini detective adventure as Shaq transformed into “Detective O’Neal,” walking along the Marina’s docks, narrowing down his clues like a kid in a scavenger hunt.

“I saw a Ferris wheel. I saw an orange road. I saw some buildings. Now it’s time to look.”

Shaq’s hilarious determination saw him questioning locals around the marina with a repeated,

“Have you seen Magic Johnson?”

The responses? Just smiles and laughter. No one gave him up.

Eventually, he even thought he spotted Magic’s yacht.

“Is that you over there, Magic?”

But once again, he came up short.

In a comical twist, Shaq revealed that he had missed Magic Johnson by just two days.

“I can’t believe you eluded me by two days, Magic Johnson."

But never one to let disappointment linger, Shaq ended the saga on a high note.

“Well, I’m in Barcelona and I did not find Magic Johnson, but I found a new best friend. Say hello to Julio.”
