Shaquille O'Neal cutout to cheer on Northampton Town during League Two playoffs

In Feb. 2016, NBA legend and Basketball Hall of Famer Shaquille O'Neal declared to the world that he is a supporter of English side Northampton Town, a club that currently sits in the country's fourth division (League Two).

While O'Neal can't travel across the pond to watch his beloved Cobblers participate in the League Two promotion playoffs, the club announced that a cutout of Shaq wearing a Northampton Town scarf will be placed in a PTS Academy Stadium seat for the home leg of the team's matchup with Cheltenham Town on June 18.

The club's official statement reads:

"Shaq, widely regarded as one of the greatest players in basketball history, has thrown his support behind Northampton Town and the Cobbler in the Crowd scheme and his cut out will be included in the crowd as the Cobblers take on the Robins.

"A picture of Shaq wearing his Cobblers scarf has been produced on a cutout and will be installed at the PTS Academy Stadium ahead of the game."

Others can virtually join Shaq as one of the "Cobblers in the Crowd" for £25.

The second leg of the playoff occurs on Mon., June 22.
