There’s a lot of weird stuff going on behind the scenes for the Milwaukee Bucks, and Giannis Antetokounmpo is the center of it all. Others have now chimed in, and the latest one to do so is none other than Skip Bayless.
The Bucks are out of the playoff race this season. Giannis has missed time, but it’s not solely his fault. He’s been given a weird roster to work with. Looking from the outside, it seems like everybody was on page earlier this season that Milwaukee wasn’t a contender to begin with – maybe, except the team itself.
Due to the fiasco, Skip Bayless had some strong words about the turmoil that’s currently happening with Giannis and the Bucks at this stage of the season.
“The Milwaukee Bucks in five years have gone from NBA champions to maybe the biggest mess I can remember in the history of the NBA because it’s not a funny mess…it’s a sorry, nasty mess. It’s ugly, personal mess, and it’s hard to believe that it got to this point,” Skip Bayless said about the Milwaukee Bucks.

“He [Giannis Antetokounmpo] wants to play to damage their [Bucks] pingpong ball chances. I’m going to win games and screw these people,” Bayless on Antetokounmpo’s mindset.
Skip mostly misses the mark on his basketball takes, but there’s some truth to what he’s saying here. After the Bucks won it in 2021, they regressed. What’s baffling is that Giannis was just entering his prime years at that point. Many have predicted he’ll become the face of the league.
The media are banking on the possibility that Giannis would be traded in the offseason. The team is nowhere near title contention with their current roster, and any help they could get in the summer might be a futile attempt to convince their superstar to stay. But don’t tell Giannis about all of those. He still thinks he has a job to do in Milwaukee as the team’s leader.
“The most important thing, and now I’m not a coach, but I am, as you said, the head of the snake. So when a guy at the end of the bench is like, ‘Hey man, like I can do that man, I should be getting more minutes man, like, ‘Hey man, it’s we and they.’ You know, like it’s separating the team, the guy at the end of the bench,” Giannis Antetokounmpo said.
Maybe a bit too late for a speech like that, don’t you think? A messy divorce is certainly coming soon.
