Steph Curry went from being unfairly considered one of the biggest villains in the NBA to one of the most respected players in the NBA in recent years.
The Golden State Warriors’ dominance in the 2010s put him in a bad light with fans, but Curry earned their respect back through his performances.
Besides being the greatest point guard in NBA history, Curry has made plenty of moves off the court, helping kids and the less fortunate, however he can. Recently, he raised over $9 million for a charity for a simple activity that he enjoys.
Somebody paid $9 million to get lunch with Curry and Warren Buffett. The legendary investor promised to match the winning bid to favor another charity.
The eBay auction aimed to revive an event that Buffett hosted for over two decades. It raised $53 million for the GLIDE Foundation homeless charity in San Francisco. This year, the winner won a private lunch with Buffet, Steph, and Ayesha Curry in the investor’s hometown of Omaha, Canada, next month.
“We’re overwhelmed with gratitude for this opportunity, which reflects a shared belief that when different generations and institutions come together with purpose, we can create deeper and more lasting impact for the people who need it most,” the Currys said in a statement.
