Former San Antonio Spurs guard Bryn Forbes has been arrested in the Alamo City for a second time in less than a year.

Per reports from ESPN, Forbes was booked into a Bexar County Jail on Tuesday on third-degree felony charges for assault against a family member. He also was arrested in early Feb. 2023 on a misdemeanor family violence charge.

According to the latest report, Forbes remains in custody on a $7,500 bond as of Tuesday afternoon. After reportedly assaulting a 30-year-old woman early Monday morning, Forbes fled the scene before eventually being arrested on Tuesday.

Forbes, 30, played 25 games for the Minnesota Timberwolves last season before being cut on Feb. 9. He hasn't been on an NBA roster since.

He made a name for himself in the league despite going undrafted out of Michigan State in 2016. The Spurs signed him prior to the 2016-17 season, and his career took off from there.

In his second season in San Antonio, Forbes appeared in 80 games and made 12 starts while averaging 6.9 points per contest. In the 2018-19 campaign, he solidified himself on the roster, playing in all 82 games and making 81 starts while averaging what is still a career-best 11.8 points per game.

Forbes played for Milwaukee Bucks during the 2020-21 season before making his way back to San Antonio for another stint in the 2021-22 season.
