The San Antonio Spurs have officially confirmed the rumblings about Victor Wembanyama’s physical transformation this offseason.

There have been whispers that Wembanyama has grown taller over the summer, but fans had no way of confirming it. That was until the Spurs recently updated their roster details ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.

After listing Wemby at 7’3″ over his first two NBA seasons, San Antonio had the French phenom at 7’5″ for the upcoming season. The Spurs’ official website also had Wembanyama at 235 pounds — 25 pounds heavier than when he entered the league in 2023.

The 235-pound figure may even be on the conservative side, as Wembanyama himself claimed in June that he has gotten up to 245 pounds.

Wembanyama was already a physical freak before hitting another growth spurt and bulking up his physique. He averaged 24.3 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 3.7 assists across 46 games last year before a blood clot issue derailed his season. His 3.8 blocks per game were the most in a single season this century.

Imagine what he’ll be able to do with a few extra inches and more muscle to take contact in the paint. Considering he also underwent training with Shaolin monks in the offseason, Wembanyama may be gearing up for an MVP-caliber third season.
