Jamal Crawford is already looking ahead to next summer’s edition of The Crawsover, and it could be the biggest one yet.

Speaking to the Seattle Times, the former NBA guard revealed that both Stephen Curry and Zion Williamson have expressed interest in playing in the Seattle-based Pro-Am event, which has become a summer staple for basketball fans. Crawford, who now balances his schedule as a coach, says he’s planning a more organized and star-studded return for 2025 after this year’s hiatus.

“The Crawsover will be back,” Crawford said. “Next year I have it planned out, because I know I’ll be coaching, but still there’ll be a better plan going forward for sure.”

NBA legend Jamal Crawford hosted one of the NBA's biggest summer events: the iconic 'Crawsover' league (AKA Seattle Pro-Am), which features a mix of current and former professional, international, minor league, and collegiate players.

In the past, it's always been a featured event for both players and fans alike who want to experience the game in a new way. After a short break, Crawford is making big plans for a relaunch in 2026, and he's already got some commitments from some of the game's biggest stars.

The most surprising to hear is Stephen Curry, who will be 38 by that point. After nearly 20 years in the NBA, you'd think that Curry would be done with the extracurriculars, but it seems his love of the game knows no bounds. As a 4x champion and 4x MVP, he's got nothing left to prove but yet he still makes time to hoop during his one extended break of the year.

If we're to take Crawford at his word, Curry will be suiting up with (or maybe against) Zion Williamson. This news is also quite surprising given that Zion has struggled to stay on the court during his NBA career. With career averages of 24.7 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game, Williamson's skill is undeniable, but his durability has always been a question. If he's committed to suiting up for the Crawsover league this early in advance, however, it's a good sign about his health and conditioning.

Seeing the two superstars share the court together would be an amazing experience, especially if they were teammates. Between Zion's strength and Steph's shooting, it'll be must-watch TV, and many fans will begin to dream of the pair as actual teammates in the NBA.

While that dream may be overly ambitious, these things have happened before, and the Warriors may like the pairing enough to make a serious run at the Pelicans star. For now, however, the players are all-in on the 2025-26 campaign, and they're likely already hard at work preparing for the grind.

If Crawford can deliver on his vision, The Crawsover could become one of the most star-studded summer basketball events in recent memory. With Curry’s legendary shooting and Zion’s high-flying power potentially on display, Seattle fans could be in for a rare treat — the type of spectacle that reminds everyone why the game is so special, even in the offseason.
