Steph Curry broke Luka Doncic’s ankles with nasty move

Steph Curry had Luka Doncic tripping over himself Friday as their teams faced off in the NBA Cup.

The Golden State Warriors icon got Doncic on a switch midway through the third quarter at Chase Center in San Francisco, Calif. Curry didn’t waste the opportunity to make the Slovenian superstar look like some Texas BBQ chicken.

After sizing up Doncic with a couple of crossovers, Steph hit Luka with a downright mean jab step that had the Los Angles Lakers star feeling up the hardwood floor. Everyone in the building knew Curry was draining the three-pointer to complete the highlight.

Upon closer inspection, Curry did give Doncic a little shove as the Warriors star stepped back for the three-ball. But Luka genuinely tripped over himself as he tried to keep up with the two-time NBA MVP.

Doncic went right back at the Warriors with a tough contested three of his own to temporarily quiet the crowd. But that part probably won’t be included in the viral clips of the play.

Doncic embarrassed the Warriors in the first quarter with a historic opening period performance — one that felt motivated by Yaxel Lendeborg’s recent disparaging comments. Curry made sure to return the favor, finishing with 31 points in the 112-95 comeback win.
