Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker hasn't put up gaudy numbers through Team USA's run to the gold medal game (set for later today), though when the game's biggest moments has arrived, the Suns' star has showed up when it mattered most.
With Team USA down as minutes in the fourth quarter began to tick, Booker got open and hit an open three to draw the Americans to within five points of Serbia.

From there, the No. 1 team in the world managed to find their footing and eventually stormed back for a comeback victory.
Golden State Warriors point guard Steph Curry says it was Booker's shot that really got them going:
"When Devin Booker hit the 3 at the top of the key, that's when I felt the momentum kind of shift," Curry said after the game.
Booker has garnered plenty of praise for his ability to adapt to his new role, while also playing strong defense and doing off-ball work to help facilitate the offense.
"Let me tell you who's been the unsung hero throughout this entire tournament. It has been Devin Booker," Kendrick Perkins said on Friday's episode of First Take. "Devin Booker has been phenomenal. Devin Booker was in the game yesterday when it mattered the most - and he played his role to a tee."
Warriors head coach Steve Kerr has previously said Booker had adapted the most to Team USA's roster of superstars:
“He’s probably the guy who has been the most adaptable to go from a different role in the NBA to a new one here. He’s adapted to being an on-ball guy, ball mover. The offense clicks when he’s out there, the defense is really good," said Kerr.
Booker and the Americans are just one win away from capturing another gold medal - they battle France at 12:30 PM on Saturday, Aug. 10.

Bulls may have found gem in former 12th overall pick
The Chicago Bulls have lost in the play-in tournament in three straight years, thus securing a pick at the end of the lottery. Based on their first preseason game, they may have found a gem at No. 12 in 2024. 20-year-old Matas Buzelis scored 19 points in 18 minutes as the Bulls defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers, 118-117, Tuesday night. The young forward shot 8-for-11, grabbed eight rebounds, hit two three-pointers and blocked a shot in an all-around impressive performance. Matas Buzelis is a local product who could be a much-needed star The Bulls took Buzelis, a Chicago native who went to high school 20 miles from the United Center, out of the now-defunct G League Ignite team. He started slowly, playing minor minutes and averaging 6.4 points in the first half before playing his way into the starting lineup. After the Bulls traded Zach LaVine, Buzelis had a 24-point game, shooting 10-for-10 from the field with four threes. He started all 31 games after that, averaging 14.2 points in the season's last three months. In March, he had a 31-point game against the Los Angeles Lakers, followed by a 28-point game against the Dallas Mavericks a week later. On Tuesday, he continued to get buckets. Buzelis has more star potential than anyone on the Bulls roster Buzelis is intriguing because he combines size and skill. He's a 6-foot-10 forward who shot 36.1 percent on three-pointers last season, but who also gets to the rim. Despite playing 18.9 minutes per game, Buzelis racked up 65 dunks, taking over 30 percent of his shots within three feet of the rim and shooting 63.3 percent. He's a passable defender already, a rarity for a player who still can't legally buy a drink until Oct. 13 — his 21st birthday. All that means Buzelis is locked in as the team's starting power forward and should get 30 minutes per game and plenty of touches on offense, especially with top scorer Coby White banged up already. The Bulls find themselves in a peculiar position. They only have long-term commitments to Josh Giddey and disappointing forward Patrick Williams. The Bulls have a chance at massive cap space next summer, although they're likely to extend White's contract. Suppose Buzelis can emerge as a genuine scoring threat; that makes the Bulls' upcoming roster decisions much easier, especially since Buzelis should be able to play either forward spot. Chicago has shown no willingness to tank for a better draft pick, so finding a star requires a trade, a likely free-agent overpay, or getting lucky at the back of the lottery. It's only been one game, but Buzelis was scoring at will at Summer League in July. After years of being mired in mediocrity, Buzelis gives the Bulls a chance to go from play-in to playoff contender in the near future. For a team that often feels directionless, this Chicago native represents a tantalizing path to NBA relevancy for the Bulls.

49ers’ Kyle Shanahan Reveals George Kittle Development Amid NFL Season

Watt, safety Deshon Elliott, cornerback Brandin Echols, and linebacker Nate Herbig. That's one of the main reasons why Pittsburgh is leading the division at 3-1. The Steelers revealed injury updates about Ramsey, running back Jaylen Warren, and others after Wednesday's practice via their website. Ramsey (hamstring) and wide receiver Calvin Austin III (shoulder) didn't practice while Warren (knee) fully practiced. The latter player missed Pittsburgh's 24-21 win over the Minnesota Vikings in Week 4. Ramsey and Austin could each miss their first game of the year on Sunday if they don't return to practice on Thursday or Friday. Backup tailback Kenneth Gainwell had his best performance of the season in Warren's absence, totaling 99 rushing yards and two scores on 19 carries along with six catches for 35 receiving yards. Gainwell (4.4 yards per carry this season) is rushing more efficiently than Warren (3.1 yards per carry), but Warren is second on the team with 142 receiving yards. Dillon Gabriel Presents New Challenge for Steelers Pittsburgh will host the 1-4 Cleveland Browns on Sunday, who are tied for last in football with 14.6 points per game. However, rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel replaced Joe Flacco as the Browns' starter in Week 5, an opponent that the Steelers are less familiar with. Pittsburgh head coach Mike Tomlin coached against Flacco when the veteran quarterback was on the division-rival Baltimore Ravens from 2008-2018. Tomlin is 26-6 all-time against rookie quarterbacks, but stopping Gabriel and Judkins won't be a walk in the park for the Steelers.
