The Golden State Warriors are currently in a slump during the 2025-26 NBA season.

The Golden State Warriors were off to a flying start, attaining a 4-1 record this season. However, since then, the Dubs have lost their form.

Following their most recent clash against the Indiana Pacers, the Warriors now have a 4-3 record as they have slipped to the eighth seed in the Western Conference.

What’s even more surprising is the fact that the Pacers were 0-5 before defeating the Warriors for their first win of the season.

Stephen Curry blames himself for Golden State Warriors’ shocking loss against Indiana Pacers

The Pacers entered the game with seven players on the injury report, including their superstar Tyrese Haliburton.

Combining that with the Pacers’ terrible form, most expected it to be an easy win for the Warriors. However, by the end of four quarters, Indy walked away with a 114-109 win.

After the game, Warriors superstar Stephen Curry shared his honest thoughts on the five-point loss while taking the blame for the same.

“There are parts of the game where I made it too hard on all of us with not getting organized, bad possessions, a little lack of energy,” Curry said, per Sam Gordon on X.

He added: “You give a team like that life … they have enough talent where you saw they can make shots down the stretch.”

The Warriors’ defeat against the depleted Pacers was a brutal reminder of the level of talent in the NBA as every team is full of elite players.

Steve Kerr on the Golden State Warriors’ third loss of the season

Just a couple of games ago, head coach Steve Kerr had seemingly things figured out for the Warriors. But with back-to-back losses that confidence has been reduced.

As for losing against the Pacers, Kerr had a brutal reaction to the same after the game.

“We know the West is loaded, and it feels like we just gave away two games. If we were locked in, focused and playing like the way we know we can play, we should have won them,” Kerr said.

He added: “We have to find a way to be sharper and be tougher. There’s always tough nights during the season. This should not have been one of them.

“We had the day off yesterday. We didn’t shoot around today; we had plenty of rest.”

While the Warriors have a brutal schedule in November 2025, Kerr believes this was a winnable game for the team and most fans would agree.
