Golden State Warriors All-Star guard Steph Curry sent out his support to all of the prospects in this season’s NBA draft on Wednesday.

Curry, 37, posted a short montage to his Instagram account from the 2009 NBA draft, when Golden State selected him with the No. 7 overall pick out of Davidson College.

“Be open to the unexpected,” he wrote in the caption. “Things will happen to you, and sometimes you won’t see that they’re happening for you. ”

Coming out of college, Curry was projected to be one of the draft's top prospects. However, he had some doubters due to his size and injury-prone nature.

But he proved those doubters wrong by becoming a four-time NBA champion, two-time regular-season MVP and an Olympic gold medalist within 16 seasons in the NBA. “16 years in the league,” Curry continued. “Grateful for every moment. From being underrated to receiving accolades beyond my wildest dreams.”

This season’s draft features prospects such as Cooper Flagg, Dylan Harper, Kon Knueppel, VJ Edgecombe, Jeremiah Fears, Ace Bailey and Khaman Maluach. Flagg, the former Duke Blue Devils freshman forward, is projected to go No. 1 overall to the Dallas Mavericks.

However, anything could happen once the draft starts and the prospects begin to hear their names called on Wednesday and Thursday.

“To the next generation hearing their name called tonight: trust the journey,” Curry concluded. “What feels uncertain now might be setting you up for something greater.”

Round one of the NBA draft starts at 8 p.m. ET Wednesday on ABC and ESPN from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The second round will begin at 8 p.m. ET Thursday and will be on ESPN.
