Steph Curry’s Behavior After Warriors’ Loss Catches Attention

The Golden State Warriors are in grave trouble. Even though they won Game 1 of their Western Conference semifinal series against the Minnesota Timberwolves, they lost Stephen Curry in that game to a hamstring strain.

He hasn't played since, and as a result, the Warriors have lost the last three games of the series and now trail three games to one.

On Monday, they competed hard in the first half of Game 4, only to fall apart afterward. They mustered just 17 points and got outscored by 22 points in the third quarter, leading to a 117-110 defeat.

Curry half-heartedly acknowledged his teammates at the end of the game while looking forlorn.

Curry will reportedly be re-evaluated on Wednesday, which is the day that Game 5 will take place. While it is possible he's cleared to play in that contest, it is also very possible he has already played his final game of the season, even if this series goes the limit.

After looking like he was perhaps in slow decline during the first half of the regular season, the February trade for Jimmy Butler reignited him, as well as the entire Warriors franchise. The team went 23-8 the rest of the way once Butler made his team debut, and it was pegged as a legitimate championship contender by the start of the playoffs.

Butler only scored 14 points and lacked aggression on Monday, and only one Warriors player — forward Jonathan Kuminga — scored at least 15 points.

With or without Curry, the squad will now be playing for mere survival.
