The Golden State Warriors suffered a major blow when Steph Curry went down with a hamstring injury in Game 1 against the Minnesota Timberwolves, striking fear into fans and prompting many to do some hurried research on his potential recovery time.
Curry was hurt in the early minutes of the second quarter of the Western Conference semifinal opener, grabbing his leg during a Timberwolves' possession and leaving the game. The All-NBA guard was seen limping to the locker room, where he was evaluated by the team's medical staff and ruled out with a left hamstring strain.
Curry's injury quickly gained some viral attention, with TNT's broadcast noting that Google searches for "hamstring recovery time" exploded in the minutes after the Warriors guard was forced to leave the game.
The answer will largely depend on what the team's medical staff finds. Evan Jeffries, host of "The Hoops Rehab Show" and a sports doctor who has been featured on Fox Sports, said it could be the "worst case scenario" for Curry depending on the severity.

While that could put Curry in danger of missing the entire series against the Timberwolves, the Warriors were able to steady the ship in his absence on Tuesday. Golden State won 99-88 behind strong team defense and another hot shooting performance from Buddy Hield, who connected on 5-of-8 from behind the 3-point line to score 24 points.
