Stephen Curry wrapped up his 17th season with the Golden State Warriors on a disappointing note, missing out on the playoffs. As the offseason begins, he is making it clear how he envisions the final chapter of his career.

In a conversation with Tim Kawakami, Curry stated his strong desire not to spend his last years on a struggling team. The four-time NBA champion has taken a close look at how other legends, including Kobe Bryant, finished their careers, and he wants to avoid a similar outcome.

“You don’t want to be in a situation the Lakers were in those last three years with Kobe. I know he came off the Achilles injury, but… they were a lottery team, and it was more just how many points can Kobe score down the stretch of his career. I don’t want to be in that scenario,” Curry said.

Curry, who recently weighed in on Steve Kerr’s future, is determined to end his career on a high note.

Golden State Eyes Game-Changing Deal to Capitalize on the Remainder of the Curry Era

With Curry set to make a stunning finale to his career, the Warriors are eyeing a bold move. Reports from Danny Emerman suggest they might be ready to trade a top-four pick in a blockbuster deal for a star player, all in a bid to capitalize on the last stretch of the Curry era.

“Golden State could also consider flipping the pick in a blockbuster trade for a proven star. A top-four pick would instantly become both the franchise’s juiciest trade asset and its best chance at bridging the end of this era with whatever comes next. Choose your own adventure,” Via Danny Emerman.

The upcoming offseason could bring a game-changing move for the Warriors. For now, they have received positive news as head coach Steve Kerr has agreed to a two-year contract to return to the Warriors.
