The Golden State Warriors face the Los Angeles Lakers in their first game of the NBA season.
The Warriors are coming off a disappointing end to last season, with a first-round playoff exit following an injury to star Stephen Curry.
Heading into Tuesday night, the status of Jimmy Butler was up in the air.
He suffered an ankle injury during practice on Oct. 10, and while he was expected to be available to play against the Lakers, it wasn't clear how much action he would see.
Butler played in the first two preseason games but was held out of the last four.
Just over an hour before tip on Tuesday night, Warriors coach Steve Kerr revealed an update on Butler.
Butler will play and will not have any minute restrictions.
Lineup alert: Jimmy Butler (ankle) won't have a minutes limit Tuesday, per coach Kerr.

Butler is entering his second season with the Warriors after the Miami Heat traded him at the deadline in February.
He's a six-time NBA All-Star, five-time All-NBA selection and five-time NBA All-Defensive Second Team.
In addition to the Heat, Butler has previously spent time with the Chicago Bulls, Minnesota Timberwolves, and the Philadelphia 76ers.
Butler is still looking for his first NBA title. He's lost in the NBA Finals twice in his career.
