The Golden State Warriors (6-5) picked up a comprehensive 83-114 win over the Indiana Pacers (1-9) tonight, despite the team missing star guard Steph Curry from the lineup. This marked Curry's third consecutive missed game due to illness, as the mercurial scorer hasn't played since the team's win over the Phoenix Suns last Tuesday.

The Warriors have also seen Jimmy Butler miss games in this stretch, while veteran center Al Horford has missed their last game with a foot injury before returning to the court tonight. The franchise needs all the help it can get on the court to stay within reach of the top-six seeds in the West, currently at No. 8 before the end of the new season's first month.

Curry's status has been one that all Warriors fans have been closely monitoring, with the 36-year-old point guard needed to help Golden State compete against the OKC Thunder (10-1) for their Monday night clash.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr announced after the Pacers' win that Curry will return on the second leg of a back-to-back against the Thunder.

“We’re expecting Steph (Curry) to be back Tuesday.”

The win over the Pacers helped the Warriors extend their home record to a perfect 5-0 this season. Conversely, they're 1-5 on the road so getting Curry back before the team embarks on a six-game road trip is crucial.

After the clash against the Thunder on Tuesday at 8 p.m. (ET), they will have to face the San Antonio Spurs, New Orleans Pelicans, Orlando Magic and the Miami Heat before returning back to the Bay Area after 10 days.

Curry is averaging 26.8 points, 4.3 assists and 3.6 rebounds in 8 games this season. Hopefully, the Warriors can deploy a healthy roster against the Thunder and potentially surprise the reigning NBA Champions amid what's been an incredible start to the season for them.
