The Phoenix Suns can't do much at the 2024 NBA trade deadline, which is set for later this week on Feb. 8.
The Suns are strapped in assets thanks to previous blockbuster trades, as the organization has reportedly been utilizing Nassir little and a handful of second-round picks to find an upgrade on the roster.
A name that's been strongly connected to Phoenix is Charlotte Hornets wing Miles Bridges, a move that would make sense on the basketball court but also would be quite controversial given his past which included him pleading no contest to felony domestic charges.
From Yahoo NBA insider Jake Fischer:
"As for Charlotte wing Miles Bridges, the Phoenix Suns continue to be described by league personnel as the team most motivated to land the Michigan State product. And it should be noted that Bridges hails from the same Spartans program that Phoenix owner Mat Ishbia was a part of under legendary head coach Tom Izzo. Bridges would add a sturdy forward that Phoenix’s roster currently lacks and could allow the Suns to deploy more effective small-ball lineups with Kevin Durant at the five."
Bridges is set to be a free agent next offseason and ultimately can determine where he lands as he reportedly as a no-trade clause in his deal.
The Dallas Mavericks and Orlando Magic have also reportedly shown interest in Bridges.
Other names connected with the Suns are Delon Wright, Monte Morris, Jae’Sean Tate, Royce O’Neale, and Nick Richards.
