The Phoenix Suns are expected to have a busy summer as they try to turn their franchise around after another disappointing season.
Phoenix is coming off a season in which they finished 11th in the Western Conference with an abysmal 36-46 record and missed the playoffs for the first time since the 2019-20 campaign.
They then started off their offseason by replacing head coach Mike Budenholzer with Jordan Ott and promoting Brian Gregory as their new general manager.
On Sunday, the Suns then made a massive change to their roster as they traded Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets for Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, the No. 10 pick in the 2025 draft and five second-round picks.
With Durant now gone, the Suns will look to continue to rebuild their roster around Devin Booker this summer and a recent report revealed which positions Phoenix will be looking to upgrade.
According to Suns insider John Gambadoro, the Suns are expected to prioritize the power forward and center position in the upcoming draft and free agency.
Expect the Suns to prioritize Power Forward and Center in upcoming draft and free agency period. They really need a 4 and can use either a starting 5 or backup 5.

This is not a surprise as the Suns struggled with their frontcourt last season despite making a trade with the Charlotte Hornets before the trade deadline to acquire Nick Richards.
Of course, there are many different players Phoenix could target in free agency, including Brook Lopez, Clint Capela or Santi Aldama, but they could also look to the draft to fill their holes at the positions.
With the Suns now owning the 10th and 29th overall selections in the upcoming 2025 draft, along with multiple second-round picks, they should be able to upgrade their roster with solid young talent as they begin their rebuild around Booker and Green.
While this may be the case, Phoenix also has a key decision to make regarding Bradley Beal this summer as they could look to trade him away or even buy out his contract after struggling last season.
Either way, it appears as though it is going to be a busy offseason in Phoenix as they try to turn their franchise around.
