The Phoenix Suns are down to their final two games of the regular season on Friday. The Suns will face the Los Angeles Lakers tonight, a team that has had trouble with the health of its stars. Phoenix will play its final game on Sunday against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The Suns are locked in to participate in the play-in tournament as the No. 7 seed team in the Western Conference standings. The Lakers matchup tonight is one of Phoenix's final two games of the season. They need to win just one game to secure a playoff spot and potentially face the San Antonio Spurs in the first round.
Head coach Jordan Ott confirmed during his pregame presser that Booker will not play against LA. Defensive guard Jordan Goodwin will also sit out of the contest due to a left ankle sprain he sustained on Wednesday against the Dallas Mavericks . Star guard Jalen Green is a game-time decision.

After the Suns' 112-107 win against the Mavericks, Booker hinted that he could potentially miss one of the final two games of the campaign.
“It's probably a conversation we'll have amongst the team, but I could see one of the games not playing,” Booker told reporters.

Booker thinks the Suns can benefit from resting a few guys before the season concludes. It's crucial for the squad because it will have a big impact on their play-in tournament lineup.
"I think a few guys that are just coming back, too Dillon [Brooks] and Mark [Williams] it might be good to catch a rhythm. So I'm sure there will be a lot of conversation about that in the next 24 hours."
Booker also took time to reflect on the "what if" situations for the Suns. He thinks that the team could've performed better in certain stretches of the season to secure a top-five finish in the conference and avoid the play-in. However, he said that the team will deal with what's in front of them, and they are focused on securing a playoff spot. Fortunately for Phoenix, they have a home-court advantage against the Clippers.
"We're in the position that we're in and we have to take full advantage of it. We have to get on the same page in a hurry. I'm looking forward to it," he said.
The Suns are 44-36 and look to return to the postseason after missing it last year.
