Despite Kevin Durant returning for the Houston Rockets in Game 2, the Los Angeles Lakers were able to double their First Round series lead with a 101-94 victory at home.
Three Lakers starters scored 20+ points, with LeBron James leading the way with 28 points in addition to eight rebounds and seven assists. With Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves both out injured for LA, James along with Luke Kennard and Marcus Smart have powered the Lakers to an important 2-0 start to the postseason. Kennard followed up his 27-point outburst in Game 1 with another 23 in Game 2, while Marcus Smart scored his most points in a postseason game since 2020 with 25 of his own.
The series shifts to Houston tonight, with the Lakers hoping to take a strangle-hold and set up a chance to sweep on Sunday night. While Doncic is still listed as out with his hamstring injury, Austin Reaves has been listed as questionable for the contest.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Smart became the 16th player in NBA Playoff history to make five three-pointers and notch five steals in the same game. How many of the players to achieve that feat can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
