The New York Knicks saw just how important a part Karl-Anthony Towns could play in reaching the Eastern Conference Finals in their 108-102 win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night.
Towns played limited minutes in the first half dealing with foul trouble, scoring seven points in the first 6:06 of the game before being held to just one more bucket in the rest of the first half.
But the script flipped in the second half. With Philly already down Joel Embiid and backup big men Andre Drummond and Adem Bona getting into foul trouble themselves, Towns’ offense came back to life. KAT finished with 20 points on an efficient 6-of-8 shooting to go with 10 rebounds and seven assists to help New York take a 2-0 series lead.
The Knicks have been on an absolute heater, winning five-straight playoff games for just the fourth time in franchise history. On the last two occasions (1999 and 1972) they reached the NBA Finals, somewhere they haven’t returned since that 1998-99 campaign.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. The effort was Towns’ 23rd with 20 points and 10 rebounds in his postseason career, 11th-most amongst active players. With that being said, can you name the active NBA players with at least five 20-point, 10-rebound playoff games?
Good luck!
