The New York Knicks haven’t leaned on Mikal Bridges too much offensively this season, with the eight-year veteran averaging his fewest points-per-game since 2021-22. But against the San Antonio Spurs, he scored 25 points while knocking down five three-pointers and adding five steals to help end their 11-game winning streak.
By adding five rebounds, he joined Jalen Brunson, Stephon Marbury and Latrell Sprewell as the only Knicks to score 25+ with at least five threes, steals and rebounds in one game.
After his offensive spurt, teammate Josh Hart talked about Bridges’ contributions.
“Sometimes the ball has energy to it. He was able to knock down some shots and defensively he was able to get in the passing lanes. It was great to really get him going,” Hart said.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Bridges became the 40th active NBA player to make five three-pointers and post five steals in the same game. How many of those players can you name in six minutes?
Good luck!
