The general perception of the Orlando Magic after their loss to the Joel Embiid-less Philadelphia 76ers in the first round of the NBA Play-In Tournament was of a team that was ready for vacation.
Their last two games should have squashed that narrative.
Orlando blew the doors off of the Charlotte Hornets for the final spot in the Eastern Conference Playoffs before heading to Detroit and taking Game 1 against the top-seeded Pistons on Sunday. Paolo Banchero led the way with 23 points, nine rebounds and four assists in the Magic’s 112-101 upset.
Game 2 will be a clash of two teams hoping to end unfortunate trends. The Magic have won more than a single game in the NBA Playoffs just twice since reaching the 2010 Eastern Conference Finals, while the Pistons haven’t won a playoff game at home since 2008.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. If the Magic are going to advance past the first round of the playoffs for the first time since 2010, they’ll need Banchero to play like the franchise cornerstone he is. With that being said, can you name the active NBA players averaging the most points-per-game?
Good luck!
