However, the Heat could be eyeing another star. The Heat have been connected to Memphis Grizzlies’ point guard Ja Morant.

They have also been linked to ‘other disgruntled sort-of stars’ as Pat Riley could look to get aggressive ahead of the trade deadline.

“I know the Heat have had internal discussions about Ja [Morant] and several other disgruntled sort-of stars,” Heat insider Ethan J. Skolnick wrote in Discord.

“But discussions do not mean aligned interest.”

Who else could the Miami Heat be targeting?

Outside of Morant, the Heat could be eyeing some other stars who fit in the disgruntled category.

LaMelo Ball has reportedly been growing frustrated with the Charlotte Hornets. With Kon Knueppel’s emergence, the Hornets could maybe be looking to trade him.

Another name who fits the bill is Kawhi Leonard. Leonard was recently called a negative trade asset and the Los Angeles Clippers continue to sink.
