After a stretch of losing four out of five games, the Los Angeles Lakers are bringing a three-game win streak into their matchup with the San Antonio Spurs. One reason has been LeBron James turning the clock back in those three contests, averaging 25.7 points per game on 59 percent shooting from the field in those wins.
Most recently, LeBron and teammate Luka Doncic went for 30 each against the New Orleans Pelicans. But with the Spurs game coming on the second night of a back-to-back, the 41 year old said he isn’t sure he’ll be able to suit up against Victor Wembanyama.
“Every back-to-back the rest of the season is TBD,” James said. “I’m 41, I got the most minutes in NBA history…bank it right now.”
After starting the season sidelined with sciatica, James is averaging 21.7 points and 6.8 assists in the fewest minutes-per-game (33.3) he’s played in his 23-year career.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Tuesday was the 574th time James scored 30 points in an NBA game, the most in league history. With that being said, can you name the 41 NBA players to score 30 points at least 200 times in their career?
Good luck!
