The 'Most 40-point NBA games since 1976' quiz

With NBA Free Agency officially open, there will be plenty of rumors and funny business flying around the game’s biggest names.

While this offseason is off to a flying start with major deals already getting done, one player that may end up staying put is Anthony Davis. The 14-year NBA veteran has been linked to a possible reunion with LeBron James this offseason, with speculation that the Golden State Warriors would try and bring the duo in to play with Steph Curry.

But per NBA writer Marc J. Spears, the Washington Wizards have no intention of dealing the 10-time All-Star they acquired at the 2026 NBA trade deadline. While injuries have limited Davis to just 71 games over the past two seasons, he showed he can still be productive with 20.4 points, 11.1 rebounds and 1.7 blocks-per-game in 20 contests with the Mavericks last year. Keeping him in the mix with Trae Young and first-overall draft pick could make Washington a team to watch in the East.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. In his prime, Davis had the ability to take over a game on any given night with 45 40-point games to his name. With that being said, can you name the players with the most 40-point games since the NBA/ABA merger?

Good luck!
