The 'NBA 40-point, 15-rebound game leaders' quiz

Cooper Flagg made his highly-anticipated NBA debut for the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night, but it was Victor Wembanyama who dominated the headlines after the Spurs 125-92 win.

Wembanyama was named Rookie of the Year in 2023 and made his first All-Star game in 2024, but his second campaign was cut short in February 2025 as he dealt with a blood clot in his shoulder.

After being cleared to play over the summer, the 21 year old Frenchman returned to the court for the first time since February 12 in jaw-dropping fashion. He scored at will, pouring in 40 points on 15-of-21 shooting from the field, while hauling in 15 rebounds and blocking three shots against the Mavericks big-man tandem of Anthony Davis and Dereck Lively.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. Wembanyama’s season opener was the third time in his young career that he’s scored 40 points and gotten 15 rebounds. How many of the players in NBA history with multiple such games can you name in eight minutes?

Good luck!
