The NBA Finals get underway this week, and by the end a head coach will win his first-career NBA title.
One the sidelines for New York is veteran coach Mike Brown. Brown is in his 12th season as an NBA head coach, making his lone Finals appearance back in 2006-07 with a young LeBron James. He brings a playoff record of 62-42 into Finals compared to just 12-6 from his counterpart Mitch Johnson in San Antonio, who is leading his first postseason run in just his second campaign as head coach.
While the journeys for Brown and Johnson have been different, the goal is the same: lift the Larry O’Brien Trophy.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Whoever comes out on top, they will be the fourth-consecutive year for a coach to secure their first championship, with Oklahoma City’s Mark Daigneault doing it most recently. With that being said, can you name the winning head coach from every NBA Finals?
Good luck!
