The 'NBA Most Improved Players' quiz

Created on November 3, 2026 | Total tries: 0 | Average Score: 0.0 out of 41 (0%) | Quiz FAQ

Happy 26th birthday to two-time NBA All-Star, 2025-26 Third-Team All-NBA selection and the 2023-24 Most Improved Player Award winner, Tyrese Maxey!

A former 21st-overall NBA Draft pick, Maxey has become the engine of a Philadelphia 76ers team boasting the likes of LeBron James, Joel Embiid and Jaylen Brown.

The first (and perhaps only) year of the experiment is off to a flying start, with Maxey averaging 29.1 points and 5.3 assists-per-game and the Sixers winning 7-of-8 games to begin the campaign. In their 126-107 win over the Chicago Bulls, every Philly starter scored at least 15 points, with Maxey leading the way with a 26-point, 11-assist double-double.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. Maxey seems to continue improving each season, but he truly broke out as a bonafide star in 2023-24 when he averaged 25.9 points, 6.2 assists and a steal per-game. With that being said, can you name every winner of the NBA’s Most Improved Player Award since 1986?

Good luck!
