The 'NBA yearly assist leaders' quiz

After taking Game 1 from the Minnesota Timberwolves in the First Round of the NBA Playoffs, the Denver Nuggets have lost three-straight games and face the prospect of elimination in Game 5 on Monday night.

One of the problems over the past couple of nights has been the efficiency of three-time MVP Nikola Jokic. Despite scoring 75 points over the three losses and posting double-doubles each time, he’s gone just 23-for-68 from the floor for a field-goal percentage of just 33.8 compared to his regular season average of 56.9.

But with the Nuggets set to host two of the possible three remaining games and boasting championship pedigree, the series could get very interesting if they survive at home tonight.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. Jokic averaged a triple-double over an entire season for the second time of his career  in 2025-26, scoring 27.7 points-per-game while winning the assist and rebounding titles with 12.9 boards and 10.7 helpers-per-contest. With that being said, can you name the players to lead the NBA in assists for each season since the NBA/ABA merger?

Good luck!
