The 'No.1 NBA Draft picks' quiz

Heading into the 2025 NBA Draft, Cooper Flagg was the clear-cut choice for the Dallas Mavericks with the first-overall pick. But this year, things aren’t quite as clear.

The top-pick in Tuesday’s first round of the NBA Draft belongs to the Washington Wizards, and while  the expectation is that they’ll take AJ Dybantsa from BYU, Kansas’ Darryn Peterson didn’t work out for anyone but Washington in the predraft process.

Washington had an interesting 2025-26 campaign, losing 60+ games for the third-consecutive season but acquiring veterans Anthony Davis and Trae Young at the trade deadline. If they are able to retain at least one of Davis and Young, adding a potential superstar to the roster could help the Wizards pull off a Pistons-type turnaround.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. If the pick is Dybantsa, he will be the first BYU Cougar ever taken with the first-overall pick. If it’s Peterson, he’ll be the first Jayhawk since 2014. If it is someone else, it will be a pretty big shock. With that being said, can you name every No. 1-overall NBA Draft pick in the lottery era (since 1985)?

Good luck!
