The Philadelphia 76ers’ NBA 2K27 Roster Looks Stacked

The NBA 2K27 leaked ratings make it very evident that the Philadelphia 76ers have plenty of star power going into the 2026–27 NBA season. With four players rated 92 or higher in their projected starting lineup, the 76ers have arguably the greatest pool of elite talent in the league.

With an overall rating of 95, Jaylen Brown is expected to be the highest-rated player on this roster, followed by Tyrese Maxey at 93 overall.

Both Joel Embiid and LeBron James have an overall rating of 92. VJ Edgecombe, who is rated 83 overall, is expected to join them in the starting five.

Due to the team’s numerous veteran additions, the bench unit appears to be strong as well. The anticipated NBA 2K27 ratings for the remaining players are listed here.

Anfernee Simons: 80 Overall

Dean Wade: 78 Overall

Dominick Barlow: 76 Overall

Justin Edwards: 76 Overall

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope: 75 Overall

Adem Boma: 75 Overall

Caleb Love: 75 Overall

Rayan Rupert: 74 Overall

Ariel Hukporti: 73 Overall

Jabari Walker: 72 Overall

NBA fans saw the roster ratings and took to social media to express how unbelievably strong this team is. Some fans were shocked at how far LeBron James’ rating had dropped in comparison to his teammates. Others were simply appalled at the roster strength.

“LeBron only 92? That’s kinda crazy.”

“What are we doing, 2K? How is LeBron only 92 after outplaying the B2B “NBA MVP” in a series?”

“Embid being the lowest rated among those four wasn’t on my bingo card lol.”

“2K showing exactly what KD was talking about. On paper, this team clears that Warriors team… now on the court, we’re gonna see.”

“Yeah, but you can turn injuries off on 2K. Not in real life.”

“This is all KD was talking about. On paper, this is a team you don’t want to play in the playoffs, but you losers start crying and throwing temper tantrums like the b—-es you are with anything about KD and the Warriors.”

Kevin Durant had recently compared this roster to the 2017 Warriors and claimed they are better on paper. The expected ratings for NBA 2K27 are in line with that statement.

The biggest concerns with teams that are stacked with superstars like this are who runs the offense and what roles they play, which involve major sacrifices that superstars may not be willing to make.

It would still require a degree of unselfishness from LeBron James to the extent that I anticipate; as the primary playmaker, he may struggle to maintain his 20-point scoring average this season for the Philadelphia 76ers, which could end a career-long streak of continuously averaging 20 points per game in every regular season.

In 2025-26, LeBron James was the third option behind Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves. But due to significant injuries to both those players through the season, he often played the secondary option behind one of them.

Hence, he averaged 20.9 points, 7.2 assists, and 6.1 rebounds while shooting 51.5% from the field in his final year with the Lakers. But as a confirmed fourth option on the 76ers, who might be rotationally the third option, these numbers are almost certainly going to drop in 2026-27.

But that is not the guaranteed formula for success either. So it remains very interesting to see how this stacked Philadelphia 76ers roster actually figures out their on-court chemistry through 2026-27.
