Despite the Phoenix Suns dropping their first attempt at clinching a spot in the NBA playoffs in the Play-In Tournament against Portland, Jalen Green showed why the Suns traded for him before the season. 

Green scored 35 points in the 114-110 loss, hitting 2-of-7 threes and grabbing five rebounds as well. It was also the second-most points he scored in a game in his abbreviated 2025-26 season, which was limited to just 32 games by hamstring, hip and knee injuries. 

Phoenix gets one final crack at the postseason tonight as they host Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors in the final Play-In Tournament clash. If Green has a similar performance and Devin Booker is able to provide just a little bit more, the Suns could be looking at a date with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
