Shai Gilgeous-Alexander may have been named 2025-26 NBA MVP just one day before the Western Conference Finals against the San Antonio Spurs, it was Victor Wembanyama who looked like the best player in the universe.
The 22 year old Frenchman scored 41 points and hauled in 24 rebounds in San Antonio’s massive 122-115 2OT win on the road without De’Aaron Fox. He was especially effective in clutch time, combining for 20 points between the fourth quarter and both overtimes with three field goals to either take the lead or tie the game.
Wemby became the youngest player in NBA history to score at least 40 points and grab 20 rebounds in an NBA Playoff game with the effort, and is just the 14th player ever to record such a stat line in the postseason.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Wembanyama became the 41st player to score at least 40 points in an NBA Playoff game before turning 25 years old since the NBA/ABA merger in 1976-77. How many of those players can you name in six minutes?
Good luck!
