'They Were the Most Together Team' – Indiana Pacers’ Chemistry Receives Praise From Minnesota Timberwolves Star

Rudy Gobert recently appeared on The Young Man & The Three podcast to give the Indiana Pacers their flowers for their unlikely NBA Finals run last season.

Despite coming up short against the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Minnesota Timberwolves center believes that they have the ingredients for sustained success in the league.

“I think Indiana wasn’t necessarily the most talented team in the East, but they went to the Finals because I felt like they were the most together team. And in those moments of adversity, I don’t know how many times they came back from being down six, seven points in the last minute, but it doesn’t happen if you’re not together,” Gobert explained.

“I think it’s super, super important when you get deep into the playoffs, when you have the whole world watching you and talking about you and ready to tear you down or spread you apart any opportunity they get. I think being able to connect with your teammates and share the same goal is huge, and OKC had that and Indiana had that,” he added.

Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton revealed he is finally done with his walking boot during a recent appearance on ESPN’s “The Pat McAfee Show.”

“I’m good. I’m on to shoes now, so we’re out of the boot, which is nice,” Haliburton said. “I feel like I do a million calf raises a day, but we’re getting there, bro.”

Despite his progress, Haliburton is not expected to suit up for the team this upcoming season, which would mean more opportunities for Andrew Nembhard, TJ McConnell, and Bennedict Mathurin.
