Thunder’s Alex Caruso is a win away from capturing 2nd NBA title

He is not the star of the team, but in his eighth NBA season Alex Caruso has been highly impactful this postseason.

The former Texas A&M standout learned how to win a league championship in 2020, assisting LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers to a Larry O’Brien Trophy in the 2020 Coronavirus bubble playoffs. He spent four seasons in Los Angeles and three with the Chicago Bulls, but now he’s back in a place he’s familiar with. Caruso is on his third franchise, but his effort and hustle has Oklahoma City one victory from capturing an NBA Championship. The 31-year-old has done some of everything in this year’s NBA Finals from hitting 3-point shots, having 20-point performances, to putting his body on the floor for steals.

He wants to be a champion again and has been outstanding in this series versus Indiana. Caruso scored 20 points in Game 2 and Game 4 as OKC took both matchups. He recorded four steals in Game 5 and five in Game 4 to put games away.

Caruso understands one final showing of toughness is all he needs to have a second ring on his hand.

Game 6 is Thursday night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Ind.
