The Timberwolves officially announced a new local media rights deal with streaming service DAZN on Thursday morning. Fans will be able to stream games through a new team-branded subscription service launching later this summer; 15 games are set to be free to watch, and more details will be released at a later date.

Minnesota's new TV home comes after the collapse of FanDuel Sports Network earlier this year. The Wolves might not be the only NBA team heading to DAZN, as the Cleveland Cavaliers, Indiana Pacers, San Antonio Spurs and Memphis Grizzlies are all reportedly close to striking a deal with the London-based streaming service, according to Sports Business Journal.

"Our commitment to the best possible fan experience is what drives everything we do," Timberwolves & Lynx CEO Matthew Caldwell said in a release. "With DAZN, we’re delivering on that promise, bringing Timberwolves basketball directly to fans through a modern streaming experience that expands reach with 15 free games and meets fans wherever they are."

A DAZN subscription currently costs $34.99 per month, and $24.99 per month under a 12-month contract.

Watching professional sports teams in Minnesota has never been more complicated. The Twins, Timberwolves, Lynx and Wild were once all on the same network, but the Twins partnered with MLB on Twins.TV before the 2025 season, the Lynx are on Victory+ this season and the Wild announced a new distribution partnership with the NHL this summer.

This deal could be a one-year partnership for the Wolves, as NBA Commissioner Adam Silver has said that the league hopes to launch a streaming hub for local broadcasts in time for the 2027-28 season.
