LaMelo Ball has been signed to PUMA since 2020, just weeks before he was selected third-overall to play for the Charlotte Hornets. Ball spent six seasons with the Hornets and released five signature models with PUMA, quickly growing into the brand’s marquee talent alongside eventual signings like Pacers’ Tyrese Haliburton and Blazers’ Scoot Henderson.

Shortly after joining his new squad in the Western Conference, PUMA and Ball unveiled the sixth installment of his PUMA MB line with the “Puerto Rico” MB.06. The shoe honors the capital of San Juan and all of Ball’s fans from the nation.

The brand new model arrives in a low-top silhouette with a much more toned-down structure compared to previous PUMA MB signature sneakers. The shoe appears to have reinforced midfoot and heel paneling atop the midsole, feeding into a mesh upper. The sleek design will feature Ball’s personal logos on the tongue as well as an updated heel shape for maximum energy return.

The blue colorway represents the blue cobblestones of Old San Juan, adoquines, and their unique composition throughout the area. The shoe features hits of red throughout the gradient outsole along with the “ONE OF ONE,” “NOT FROM HERE” and “RARE” insignias throughout. Unmistakably, the sneakers feature the flag of Puerto Rico stamped across the tongue.

The PUMA MB.06 “Puerto Rico” is set to launch exclusively in Puerto Rico retailers on July 31, 2026 for an expected retail price of around $140. Further details of the exclusive release will be revealed throughout the upcoming week as fans can expect a wider global release sometime in September 2026.

Could this be LaMelo Ball’s best signature sneaker yet?
